First Lady Promotes Breast Cancer Awareness

Michelle Obama is a first lady who is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. One of her latest campaigns is the promotion of breast cancer awareness. She has found a unique way to tie this fight into the campaign for better health care in America. On Friday, the first lady addressed an audience of breast cancer survivors, advocates and lawmakers at the White House reports the Associated Press.Mrs. Obama stressed the benefits and necessity of President Obama’s health care proposal in the fight against cancer. She said that his plan would provide preventative screenings like mammograms which would greatly impact the number of cancer survivors in our future.
