Barack Obama achieved unprecedented success during his presidential campaign. He victoriously won the presidency and became the first African American President of the United States. During his campaign, spectators took meticulous notes about how President Obama managed to take the White House while smashing his opposition.
Colin Delany authored the e-book “Learning from Obama” which details how the President used the internet to launch his extensive candidacy. Obama utilized the internet to mobilize a nation and fundraise his intense run for office. Delany had 13 years of online political experience under his belt before releasing this book. Delany puts the spot light on how much technology played a role in the success of Obama. He also projects how online campaigning will be used in future campaigning as reported by PR Newswire via Epolitics:
“Barack Obama’s victory in 2008 told the world that the Internet’s moment as a political tool has arrived,” said Phil Noble, founder of PoliticsOnline.com and a longtime observer of Internet politics. “He and his campaign used technology to mobilize millions of people in a way we have never seen before, and this publication explains how they did it.”
“Learning from Obama” is available in PDF format as a free download at Epolitics.com. Delany will be speaking on Thursday at the Netroots Nation conference in Pittsburgh.
